About this Species:

H. helianthoides is a perennial species native to many of the remnants we study. Because its pollen may interfere with E. angustifolia pollination, The Echinacea Project has begun research on H. helianthoides‘s compatibility system and phenology.

  • Flowering phenology. Peak flowering occurs in early July.
