Research

I am broadly interested in plant physiology and entomology and the relation between the two.  My favorite part of research is data analysis and putting everything into context.  So far this summer I have been working with aster modeling in R on a data set of fitness measures from 1997-2012 from the common garden.  I have been analyzing the fitness between 14 different remnant populations. Past research I have done has focused on functional and taxonomic beta diversity of woodland understory plants in relation to particular environmental gradients.

About me

I grew up in Green Bay, WI (go pack!) and recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Biology as well as a minor in Chemistry.  At EC I participated in cross country and track and field all four years which was the highlight of my time there.  I also enjoy playing the violin especially for weddings!  I plan on attending grad school for something botany related in the near future.
