Echinacea Project 2013

B.A., Biology, St. Catherine University, 2011-Present

Research Interests

This summer, I am interested in exploring possible differences in Echinacea angustifolia from different prairie fragments. I am also interested in differences between E. angustifolia and Echinacea padilla and how this may affect the introduction of E. padilla into native Minnesota prairie remnants or possible hybridization of the two species and their implications for prairie conservation and restoration.

Statement

I am an upcoming junior at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota studying biology with an interest in conservation and wildlife biology. I am very excited to be able to help contribute to the Echinacea Project this summer. In the future, I plan to attend graduate school to study conservation or wildlife biology.
